Rarely do I come across an album that is so fun and has so much energy and momentum that I’m caught off guard when the last track has ended. Small Town Anthem’s A Key To The Brain is one of those albums.
One of the many things I love about Small Town Anthem is how they so easily combine blues, funk, rock and reggae. I think it’s that combination of genres that not only add to that momentum I mentioned, but also give  them an awesome chilled out summery, sun shiny feel.
Whether you’re in your car, at work, or in your living room, it’s impossible not to move to every single song on this album. The tunes are fun, uplifting, and catchy. They have great instrumentation, solid grooves, and awesome layered vocals that make singing along irresistible.
OK, so what’s my favorite track? ….I really don’t think I can say. I love the vocals in “The Answer”. I love the groove and guitars in “Waiting on Redemption”. I love the fiddle in “The Fires Burn”. I love the storytelling in the lyrics of “Get There Soon”. Honestly, I can find something that I love about every track. So basically, you should just hop on iTunes and download the album so you can hear all of the wonderful things that are going on in every track.
The album can be downloaded from iTunes – hardcopies of the album can be purchased in the store section of the Small Town Anthem’s official website.
