Austrian Death Machine - A Very Brutal Christmas EP

 

Austrian Death Machine, how do you go wrong with a name like that? But what to expect? Will it be commical? Will it be intense? Will it be noteable? Will it be memorable? The answer to each of these questions is that you have to “Get to the Choppa”!!!!

Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying decided to do a solo project and titled it Austrian Death Machine where he not only performs every instrument on the album, but also performs in a voice often mocking Arnold Schwarzenegger. A Very Brutal Christmas EP is associated to the major release Total Brutal but has only 3 tracks, “Jingle Bells”, “Get to the Choppa” (previously released) and “Hell Bent for Leather” (Judas Priest cover).

“Jingle Bells” is damned funny. How do you remake a classic? Well, here’s your answer to that. “Get to the Choppa” is just hilarious and awesome rolled into one, kinda like an Arnold and heavy metal burrito. “Hell Bent for Leather” is a cover, well done, but just a cover.
